Competence Assessment Programme - Last Chance to Enrol!

The Wesley Institute of Nursing Education Competence Assessment Programme (CAP) is accredited by the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ).

This is a six week course consisting of 85 hours of in class theory and 160 hours of clinical experience in placements across NZ.

Nurses will be assessed on-site through a combination of written assignments, assessing their skill at clinical assessments, care planning, pathophysiology, reflective practice, as well as assessment of their team management and key clinical skills.

The Wesley Institute of Nursing Education CAP course is a supportive programme which provides internationally qualified nurses a comprehensive overview of nursing in New Zealand. This course offers the best opportunity to understand and achieve the NCNZ competencies for Registered Nurses.
